The Kansas City Wizards have traded forward Adam Cristman to D.C. United in exchange for an international roster spot, the teams announced on Wednesday.“We are pleased to have concluded a trade for Adam,” said United general manager Dave Kasper. “He is a hard working, athletic striker who will provide solid cover for us. We look forward to having him join us in pre-season camp.”
Cristman, 25, was originally selected by the New England Revolution in the fourth round of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft. He went on to play 46 games for the Revs, scoring 10 goals and adding five assists, before being traded to the Wizards following the 2008 season. However, he was unable to make an impact for much of the ’09 season, sidelined by a fractured fifth metatarsal that limited him to just five appearances with Kansas City.
