Former MLS standout Herculez Gomez has scored his first goal since moving from the Kansas City Wizards to Puebla FC, helping his new club earn a 1-1 draw on the road against Atlante over the weekend. Making the most of his first start for the team, Gomez put Puebla in front just after the halftime break when he made a perfectly-timed run on a free kick to head the ball past the opposing goalkeeper. Unfortunately, his team couldn’t hold on for the victory, giving up an equalizer less than two minutes from full-time.
