Davino, Dallas Part Ways

FC Dallas has announced that they are parting ways with Mexican defender Duilio Davino, as the two sides have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The move allows Davino to explore further playing opportunities in Mexico, according to the team release.Davino, 32, signed with Dallas back in January for a near-maximum salary of $400,000, earning just less than Designated Player money. He made 23 appearances for the club (22 starts), while also adding one assist. His time on the field was limited by a foot injury that caused him to miss seven games and his play at times was unsteady, likely leading Dallas to look for cheaper backline solutions.

"Duilio is a great professional who has enjoyed a storied career,” said FCD General Manager Michael Hitchcock. “He brought a great deal of experience and leadership to FC Dallas that will benefit our younger players for years to come. We wish Duilio all the best in the next chapter of his career."
